Tasia Zalar is an Australian actress and creative whose dynamic performances have captivated audiences across the film and television industries. Born in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Tasia made her screen debut at just 15 years old in the short film Nia’s Melancholy, which premiered at the 2009 Message Sticks Festival. She went on to star in Uninhabited and gained recognition for her role as Bridget Titui in The Straits. Her breakthrough came in 2018 when she played Shevorne Shields in the critically acclaimed ABC neo-Western series Mystery Road, earning a Logie Award nomination for Most Popular New Talent and two Equity Ensemble Awards alongside her castmates.
Her versatility as a performer has been showcased in a range of projects, from the horror anthology Dark Place to the sports drama Streamline and the high-octane action film Wyrmwood: Apocalypse. With an impressive repertoire spanning independent films, mainstream productions, and impactful television roles, Zalar continues to push creative boundaries.
Beyond acting, Tasia has a passion for creating music influenced by funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic sounds.
